So I thought my sunroof problems were related to the motor not being screwed in. surprisingly, all the bolts holding the motor were there!


well it appears that a plastic piece fell off the glass and getting in in the way and makes the sunroof get out of alignment.

you can see this black plastic piece is freely moving without being attached to the sunroof panel. a little copper screw came out as well, that screws into this from the top.


On this side, the plastic piece is screwed into the sunroof glass panel.

any ideas how to fix this? do I remove the whole damn thing?

I can't remove the glass because I can't get the panel to tilt up right now.
