Anyones acd acts strange....

When my acd likes to work it makes a very strange sound when it rains outside. I know im not the only one has this since someone else told me theirs did it also. Could it be my acd pump failing or just something normal?

It sounds like that but not as loud and not at a constant pace. Guess my acd is going out.

i cant even hear mine go on, i questioned if its actualy working sometimes. But the 3 lights dont come on and u can notice a difference in different modes. ive seen the 3 lights come on after awhile of driving but that was cause i had a faulty *** alternator.

Holy Crap thats loud, to hear mine I need to have silence outside to hear it, I only ever knew about it when I had to bleed the system since I had the line off the transfer case. But I would say it's going out if it's coming from the pump. There's a thread on here somewhere that showed the one guy out of country that actually rebuilds them and had pics of one taken apart and said there's a spot where rain and moisture collects and gets in the motor and makes it eventually go bad but can be resealed better, prob too late now for you but just throwing it out there, I forget the guys screen name

Video was taken under the opposite corner of the car. I think that was his fuel pump. lol
My ACD started going out around 30K. Warranty replaced at 40K. I don't recall it ever making noise...

I have a EUDM evo that has AYC so my pump is located in the rear left corner.
I think on USDM evos the evap canister is located here?

It was extremely loud and extremely embarrasing
As soon as I would drive off and the pump tried to build pressure it would make this sound but stopped after about 30 secs or so.
I removed the pump and found that somehow one of the 2 bolts that hold the motor to the pump had broken in half so there was a 1/5th of an inch gap where water and other stuff got in making the pump motor completly seized up.
That was what was making the noise.

Location of ACD/AYC reservoir

What the inside of my pump looked like
