Cam install torque spec question
hey guys doing a Cam install and the service manuala torque specs look wonky to me they seem pretty low and they felt tighter when u was taking them off... should I be concerned or should I just shut up and follow the ? lol
15 ft lbs on the bearing caps and 65 ft lbs on the cam gear bolts are where you should be. CAS was at 15 I believe. They may seem low but the head is made of aluminum and a torque wrench puts more leverage on a bolt than you think.

ok so this was prior but one of the camshaft position sensor cover bolts got stripped a bit can I use one from the spark plug cover ?? they are same except the spark one is a lil lil shorter can I use to replace? thnx for any help and to those who have:-)
I just ruined my camshaft by following this manual. It said 98 ft-lbs which is WRONG. It should be 16 ft-lbs. I unfortunately realized this too late. Who freaking wrote that manual?
