Hold on a minute. You're willing to compromise drivability, the very thing you seek to improve, just so that you can save ~$150 IF you ever decide to spend a few grand on a new turbo. Does that make sense to you?

The Synapse installs in the same location as the stock DV. Have it with the recirc kit and love it.

How is spending a few hundred on a new upper pipe and a few hundred on a tial qr bov saving me $150? Also are you issuing that running the qr will decrease drivability compared to lets say a stock metal mr bov?

$150 is the cost of the factory IX DV, the part you might be replacing IF you ever decided to get a bigger turbo.

Also are you issuing that running the qr will decrease drivability compared to lets say a stock metal mr bov?
Yes.

BTW, "stock metal mr bov" is a IX DV.

Synapse is hit or miss.

Tial is too much work with the welding and install. I'm leaning towards a Forge.

I had the HKS SSQV but switched to the metal MR blow off valve. Couldn't have been happier.

With the HKS I was dropping RPM's and almost stalling everytime I came to a stop light or stop sign.
