the shortblock is 2.4 so no it's not the same unless you're planning on using a 2.4 complete build

 

No, the 2.4 is in his car. I wouldn't put a IX motor in the VIII there are some fun wiring issues you are going to run into. Look for an VIII motor IMO.

 

^Like what? The only thing different is the mivec feed hole will need to be plugged, Its just the shortblock...

 

Wouldnt really have to plug the mivec feed. You could just buy an adapter(if they make one) that goes from the 10mm thread to a 1/8npt for the stock idiot light sensor. Thats what is on the 8 block in place of a mivec feed.

Sorry was skimming, didn't read shortblock from ts1drift. Just noticed the OP is looking for an engine and assumed longblock.
