clutch questions

I recently bought a used exedy twin and I'm having some problems. I'm not sure if I'm using the right lingo but i'll try my best. the clutch isn't disengaging. I have the pedal adjusted all the way to the top through the rod under the clutch. I'd say it's engaging about a half inch to an inch off the floor. Also when I bleed the clutch, and have it down to the floor, when I open the bleeder valve on the slave the clutch gets stuck to the floor. It also wont go in any gear on a cold start but i found that after rolling and I come to a stop I can get it in first fairly easy. Another note is I HAD the pedal near the very top and I could get it to go in gear perfectly fine. Took it out for a spin, and then the next time I got in the car. It wouldn't go in gear again. This time When i try to put it in reverse it make the car move backwards even though I cant get it in gear. kinda stumped here. is there any way to make the clutch go higher? I know i saw on one of jacks videos if you go too high it will block off the bleeder valve. Also i've noticed when the car moves a little bit in neutral it squeeks. It may be the brakes. but i'm unsure. Kinda stumped here. please help/ Could the clutch be bad?

You say the clutch is used? Did you have it rebuilt? Did you get it inspected or are you knowledgeable to inspect it yourself? Who installed the clutch?

No... no rebuild. I installed the clutch myself. The PP and floater looked OKAY some heat spots but nothing serious. I bought the clutch from a good seller here and was told it came out running perfect and had 7k miles. The top TM side disc had some wear on it. Measured around 3.3x mm. The fw side disc was nearly brand new. Measured around 4.0x. Thought it was kind of odd. The thing that makes me think it isn't the clutch is that at one point I had it adjusted near the top but not all the way and it was going in and out of gear perfect. And then I cant remember if it was after I took it for a cruise, or after I bled it and it stuck. But then the problems happened again, cant get it in gear while sitting still. Also do you, or anyone else, have any idea why the clutch sticks to the floor when I open the bleeder valve?

And does anyone else have any idea if it's possible to get just another half inch or inch of pedal travel?

How are you bleeding the clutch? Usually it takes two people to bleed a clutch. The pedal usually falls to the floor when you start the process to release air in the system, yhen you close the valve and someone inside the car usually pumps and you repeat till the pedal is firm and no air is in the system.

Yea, if the pedal still falls to the floor when you open the bleeder, it needs bled more.
