which turbo timer?

Hey guys, I'm trying to decide which turbo timer I should get. I'm choosing between the HKS TT type 0 or the Apexi TT. Any input would be appreciated.

I have a Greddy Full Auto TT. It's small, and works great.

(and yes I know you asked for HKS vs Apexi but still, the Greddy is damn nice)

I have the APEXi TT, I seriously love it, yeah sure it doesn't have all the fun BS things like the HKS...but it's small and reliable!!! As far as it being easy to install...I would say yes, but, I have 13 years of experience as an installer...and what's REALLY easy to me is someone elses nightmare! LOL Honestly I would say it's pretty simple

I have the Apexi and I installed it about 2 weeks ago with a friend of mine. I like it because it is small and can be placed anywhere. I put the display just behind the shifter. Once we figured it out it was easy and it looks almost stock - very clean. If you decide on the apexi PM me and I will send you some step by step instructions that are better than the generic ones that comes with the box.

Save your money for something else and use a modicum of self control. About 2 to 3 miles before your destination relax the muscles in your right leg and drive moderately the rest of the way. All it takes is staying out of the boost the last 2 or 3 miles to cool things down just fine. You save the cost of the timer, the cost of running the engine that much longer, the pollution etc. and if you aren't mature enough to manage 2 or 3 miles that way then you aren't mature enough for the car anyway.

I've got the apexi and it works fine, they all work the same...just a matter of different features.

Don't spend too much money on an expensive TT, that money would be better used elsewhere. All it does it serve a simple function. I have an old *** HKS TT thats worth like $30, and it works just as good as the most expensive ones

^^^ Better yet, don't spend any money and do it yourself with common sense and a modicum of self discipline... works just as good as the most expensive ones.
