car died while driving

So last night I leave my house, get halfway down the road and my car dies. I was in gear, coasting down a hill, then it shut off. The car turns over but wouldn't start. And it keeps blowing one of the 20A fuses in the engine bay fuse box. Has anyone heard of this? I'm having it towed to a shop tomorrow, I was just wondering if, by any miralce, someone knows a solution for this.

Thanks.

PS, battery, starter and alternator all work fine. No boost leaks too.

it might be a short from your 02 sensor on the exhaust. check for rubbed wires.

OK. I will tomorrow. I google'd this and I read the same thing. Something regarding the rear o2. I'll look at it more once I get it home...I don't really want to cralw under it while jacked up on a hill.

Engine Control fuse in engine bay keeps blowing because you have exposed wires somewhere touching causing them to ground. I had this happen to me last month. My 2nd Oxygen sensor grounded when a box under passenger seat nudged it causing the short. GL. The Fuse you need replacing is 20A and find that exposed wire. GL

problem with the earthing.. Check the earth wires under the car.. Similer problem happened to a friend of mine,, car completely died.. No ignition n even the battery was half way burnt.. Its a simple fix. Take it to a garage, but u might have to replace a new battery tho...
