You should be more specific. Are you talking about the lower cubby hole? If so, remove the two screws on the "roof" of the hole and firmly pull it toward you.

pull the climate control knobs off. unscrew the 2 screws. pull from the bottom and work your way up. dont be afraid to give it a solid pull. the bezel is strong.

It just pulls out. Put your hand in the storage compartment and push down on the plastic, you will be able to grab the edge of the trim now and just pull it out

I pull it out with the radio in it. Just pull it out 1 inch or so, your radio is probably secured in the metal radio "tray". Pry open the clips with a screwdriver and slide the radio out.
Why do you need to be behind it?

My boost gauge is located in that storage compartment, and the pipe came off so i have to re-connect the pipe. But i'm thinking i should build the gauge and turbo timer into that storage compartment.Maybe with a sheet of perspex or something.

I took out the storage compartment, then relocated the radio to the bottom hole and closed up the top hole with fibreglass.
I then drilled 3 holes with a hole saw so I can fit my gauges.
I'll see if I can find a pic later.
