Fuel rail should never wear out, the cost of a new w255 pump is like 100 bucks, just pay for a new one.

Fuel rail is obvious if anythings wrong with it, fuel pump not so much. Just get a new one.

Spend the 100$ or less in some cases for a new pump to be safe. If the fuel rail doesn't have any physical noticeable damage then your good to go

Fuel pumps are easy as **** to replace. Buy it, if it doesn't work then file a claim. Its not like you need to drive 10k miles on it to see if it's bad. Walbro's are hearty pumps

Fuel rail sure, but with how high the failure rate on Walbros is, and how cheap they are, I don't see a point in buying one used.

Agree with everyone else here. Hard to jack up a fuel rail (at least that wouldn't be noticable, ie a crack, chip or bend).

As for the fuel pump, since it is hard to inspect and it's failure can ruin your entire engine, whatever you are saving (like $10-15 or even $50 ?) is a small price to pay for security. More of a risk vs reward scenario.
