Smoking after seafoam

Hey Guys,

Pretty sure I already know the answer to the question but thought I would run it by everyone here. I seafoamed my engine on Sunday, half in the gas half in the a vacuum line.. So when I did the vacuum line smoke started coming out of the tailpipe and out from under the hood near the turbo/exhaust manifold/o2 housing. My conclusion is that I have an exhaust leak post turbo, since it is not affecting peak boost development. What do you guys think? Bad gasket between the turbo and o2 housing?

You sure it wasn't just excess smoke blowing back up under the car? Depends on how much smoke your car produced, but in my experience, every time I seafoam a car, it smokes to all hell....

You could always have someone try to help you locate the leak, if there is one. Stuff a rag in the exhaust and hold your hands over it, try to seal it best as possible. Listen for any leaks, could sound like a ticking, or pfft pfft sorta noise.

Thanks for the advice, it might have been blow back from the exhaust it was really windy, I cant hear a tick or any audible exhaust leaking. I will keep an eye on it I guess.

mine came a little from the exhuast manifold too, not a lot but just a tiny bit to actually notice. I just ignored it as I dont think it was any major issue... if it helps any lol.

It does, if it was a little I wouldn't be too worried, this was a decent amount, it looked like the engine was smoking, I had my dad revving it and I was standing in front of the car.
