X envy
X envy
I felt a little evo X envy while out at dinner tonight when i was leaving a grayish blue evo X was parked next to my VIII. It usually wouldn't phase me but when i got in and started my car and looked at the AC control knob post that broke off recently, I started to day dream about all the electronic goodness right next door...
I guess it could be worse, i remember I was at a stoplight with a skyline gt-r next to me and when i got out the car later i felt an inch shorter.

i looked at a 2012 mr today while i was getting some parts from the dealer. i had to force myself out the door. they also had a 2011 that they had marked down like 10g cause they wanted to get rid of it. i was so bout to do it but i swore to myself back in 03 when they first came to the states i would own and eight and never get rid of it.
They have def grown on me the past couple years. However I couldn't get rid of the VIII so would need to have them both..
To be honest there are a couple other cars I'd rather own if I was buying new right now

Yep, I couldn't get into the way the X looks. Nothing wrong with the X, just more a preference thing, so I went/got a IX instead. Different strokes for different folks!

I hear you. It took me 5 mos to find mine and I had to get it from a dealer, but it had all service records from the dealer. It was also stock..according to the dealer, unless the guy return it to stock every oil change lol.
My cousin has a IX and I have an X, and from our experience the X with S-AWC is much less predictable at the limit, especially in the gravel or snow. The IX, because of its more conventional rear diff and its lighter weight is also more tossable. On pavement, the X is superior because you have less of a tendency to want to step the rear end out, and S-AWC starts to show it's advantage. When the surface is loose, however, you appreciate the fact that the rear end of the IX always goes where you intend, while you may find yourself fighting with the X to keep a drift going the way you want it to. That being said, it's definitely not a deal-breaker to have S-AWC, and when you get used to the rear end, the X is a beast.
