i would have stuck with the X. But on top of that, I dont think getting a car with mods like that was a good idea.

 

If its in good shape and drives fine, then I would've got rid of the X as well. In my case, I not much a car techie guy, so would either stick with the X unless it's a stock 8/9.

 

I like the look of this 8 but think you could have sold your x and bought this 8 with $ to spare

 

Get rid of the eyelids, window ventshades and the DIY-attempt color-matched valve cover.

 

if you didnt get cash on top you got screwed. if you did get money on top and traded it for its performance potential good trade. either way its good to see you stay in the evo family!

edit: relooked over the pics and that thing looks used and abused. i hope your mechanically inclined and want to bring this thing back to its glory

That is one crappy looking evo and has bad parts choices on it

 

well this is whats up i got $10,000 plus the 8 and that car only has 31,000 miles on it so what I'm gonna do is im gonna rip it apart and start this whole Evo from scratch and i go to Lincoln tech institute so i can do all my project at my school still think im crazy lol ?

 

Bad move dude. Extremely sketchy buying modded anything, let alone an evo. Hope you got good cash on top of that trade...

What ever drove you from the X to an 8, I think was a good move. I personally have little regard for the (non EVO) X & will never own one

Hopefully you wont have to DD your 8 & mod it to suit your needs

well first i wanted the cast iron engine which does really good on high HP & boost also i never owned a 8 or 9 before and I always wanted one so yea i wanna see how far i can push it another thing which im embarrassed about is that this is actually my first manual car my X was a MR dual clutch transmission and i wanted to learn how to drive manual so yea, but i learned so no worries there lol and my final reason is because i love the body style on the 8 more than the X

 

thats a weird looking UICP, its an ok trade, would have been better if it was stock so you didnt have to rip it all apart.

 

Good luck with building it up. Makes me miss my 06 9 MR. I've always loved the 4g63 engine.
