NOOOOB question ( head studs )

I am trying to learn alot more about cars, ive been doing alot and learning as much as possible all on my own i never had anyone to teach me, so ill ask you guyys!

What do Headstuds do? whats their purpose? help me understand lol THANK YOU

Man u werent lying about the title ......They keep the head from lifting under extreme cylinder pressure equating in blown head gaskets. They are typically better than bolts and resist stretching under the conditions.

iono what your talking about lol but he is right. but i think the op is looking for more of a layman term.

headstuds replace the stock headbolts which bolt the head to the block. simple!
