Need help ASAP
Well was driving my 92 gsr rs the other day has evo 2 running gear from ex jap import. Was going around 40 kph then all four wheels locked up just happened no loud bang or anything notice that the rear subframe was stuffed but I replaced it still nothing. It had to get dragged up onto the tow truck. Engine is fine etc I cant even get car to roll or anything in any gear. Is a five speed manual when I take my foot of clutch it wants to go but just but just stalls because the cars wheels are locked up. Could it be transfer case?
If anyone can help will beach appreciated cheers William

Well, one things for certain... it's a singular component that failed rather than something associated with each wheel.
Couple things to check with the car jacked up off of all 4 wheels...
1. Is the braking system actuating properly?
2. Are you able to move any wheel individually with the car in neutral? Even slightly. Take note of whether the disc is moving in the caliper, or the axle moving etc. See if you can see where it's stopped up.
3. What's the condition of the transmission/transfer case/rear diff? I would suspect the transfer case, but if the drivetrain is all the same, I would think it would've given some sort of warning before it welded itself into a slug? How's the oil look, do you notice any holes or leaks or odd coloration?
You may also want to try the guys over on lancerregister... they're more familiar with the specifics of your chassis than most are here. But this seems to be not a specific "Evo problem", more of a system failure.

the wheels spin around freely when up in the air when i spin around with my hand but as soon as its on the ground it just rocks like its in park or hand brake is up but it isnt. when i pull e brake up it doesnt move at all and when i brake it doesnt rock at all so cant be one of those locked on???
Gearbox was apparently rebuilt am gona check the fluid now then will let you know i have my feeling its transfer case but yea will check fluid and post back up asap

So you're saying you can spin the front hubs, but it isn't easy?
But you can spin the rear hubs?
I think it's safe to rule out anything in the hubs or on each wheel. Your problems are further up the drivetrain to have affected all four wheels at once.
