Weird problem~~?

i just recently put together my 2006 gsr, car was in a accident and we pulled the motor out. Ok so the problem im having is that if you start the car it runns perfectly fine and is drivable aswell, no check engine lights at all, but once you get on it stock ecu is randomly picking up .9 counts of knock and retards the timing to -1 degrees causing the car to start popping and backfiring. we have changed pretty much every sensor, replaced ecus, replaced engine wiring harness. Im puzzeld as to why its doing this. At awd chris speed hooked up a haltech and the problem went away.. im lost lol. any body know as to why its doing this, the stock ecu even read knock when the sensor was unplugged or turned off in the ecu.

Either that or you neou ed a tune up from using a lower octane rating of 93. I also think the sensor is bad or does not have a good connection. When knock sensors go bad they tend to jack with the timing alot because the computer is trying to compensate for the signal its not recieving so it backs the timing down to prevent you from blowing up the motor to some degree. I would get it double checked and report back.
