That HKS bov is actually a really good bov for a turbo'd car that doesn't need to be recirculated. They hold boost extremely well.

For our recirculated system they suck unless you convert to speed density.

Do yourself a favor and sell it to an FD or supra owner and get yourself a proper recirculating dv (diverter valve).

 

Well if you wanted to have a "vent to atmosphere" bov. you would install the bov on the hard piping before the throttle body and cap off the intake portion right before the turbo, after the MAF.

But you dont want to do that. The evo wasn't designed to run with a VTA bov from the factory and you are only going to create more issues (running rich, stalling at lights etc..) installing that bov. Sell the bov and get a stock unit. if you dont have a stock bov, I have a plastic evo 8 bov I will ship to you. It isn't great but it will buy you time until you can get a proper recirculated bov.

 

Take the SSQV and place it in it's box. Reinstall stock dv.

That's most likely the best performance you'll get from the SSQV.
