I made the same mistake as my first mod. Finally rigged it up to work and took it off almost right away. Nothing but surging. 9 bov is the best.

Run just one hose from the metal fitting on the front near the valve cover, and the hose going to the intake just remove that one and plug the intake.

You'll need to purchase the reciculation kit for the Hks valve.

I have the Synapse unit, better then stock, it is a miracle and works extremely well. Best BOV I have ever had. The IX BOC leaks at 24PSI, the Synapse can hold 50 PSI.

The hks has only one nipple on it. Run a hose from that nipple to the metal one right next to the valve cover. Just as pictured, The item circled is the nipple from the stock bpv. Follow that hose and it connects to the nipple next to the valve cover.

I would recommend the stock MR diverter valve for the beginners and a synapse or turbosmart bov for the advanced owners.

The ssqv wasn't designed to work on recirculating systems like the one we have in the Evo. Not to mention its a piece of turd of a BOV. There must be a hundred threads on evom bashing the thing and people still buy it. Do some research before you mod ffs.

The nipple on the intake tube, just use a plug to keep it shut.

Well Mr. Aggravated Michael,

If you can't tell nothing from that picture, it tells us enthusiasts that you can indeed tell something from that picture, in which case, I am happy to see you've resolved your issue.
