I had a similar issue. I put some gasket maker around it and its not leaking so far. I'm going to drive it a thousand miles and check.

I'm sure it's no where near a gallon, not even close. Maybe a cup at most.

Tell that to my under carriage. It has been stripped from the gasonline draining from the tank overnight. The last time it happened, I went back to the gas station to top it off again to make sure I knew where the leak was, I put in a little over 3 gallons to the click again.

So I figured, I might have used a gallon of gas from the time I got gas to the time it was parked in the garage. Th rest had to go somewhere, thats where I assumed it was drained onto the floor.

This is a pic I snapped one day that it leaked while I was at work. I knew as soon as I got home, I could smell gas. This was making its way out of the garage and onto the driveway as well. This was with a full tank.

Most common problem is people forget to install the big fat flat o-ring between the tank and fuel pump assembly.

The nylon flat washer we use sits on top because it's a nice flat area to seal. The fittings have a large AN nut on the bottom and Jarrod tightens the crap out of them. There shouldn't be anyway a leak can even happen there as tight as they are.

We'd be glad to look at it if you send it back.

BTW, I just checked my mail, I have no messages from you.
Thanks Dave. I have spoke to Nick about mine. He sent me new bulkhead fittings last week, as I went to tighten mine at first to make sure the leak wasnt there, and they were stripped pretty bad. I am going to install the new bulkhead fittings this week. If no fixes. I will get a hold of Nick or you next week.

Do you guys know fuel is flammable?! If you see a leak, DON'T DRIVE THE CAR and DON'T PARK IT IN YOUR FREAKING GARAGE!!!! Holy ****.

There is a vent on the fuel tanks, I'd guess some of yours are plugged up or the evap canisters have been removed and the vent wasn't left. There shouldn't be enough pressure to loose that much fuel in the tank.

Im fully aware fuel is flammable lol. When I park the car in the garage, it wouldnt leak right away. Its only after the car sits, it starts to leak. Mine has no issues, as long as I dont fill the tank up, but thats not a fix by any means. Since this time, I just havnt filled the car up yet though.

Where exactly are the vents? Maybe thats my issues to begin with possibly. These vents could be clogged, causing more than normal pressure in the tank making the fuel leak??

There is a big evap canister under the rear bumper of the car, weighs about 8 pounds if I remember right. Some guys delete them and don't properly vent the tank then as they cap all the hoses. Try loosening your gas cap up on the car and then filling it and letting it sit, see if it leaks then.

BTW, there is a vent line that runs to the front of the car, some guys get rid of that too and cap it under the hood, that would be an issue too.

Yea, I am gonna look into the vents like DB said. Mine seems to build more and more pressure the longer it sits while the car is off. I havnt touched any of the vents, but the previous owner might have. Ill have to chck it out. Like I said, mine only leaks when the tank is full, once the level gets between the 3/4 and F mark, I dont ever smell fuel or see any leaks from the top of the pump assembly.

I would have sent mine back right off the bat, I just wanted to get to the track that sat so bad, so I just drained some gas out of the tank til the leak was no more. Then.....damn rain cancelled the even anyways.

Make sure you guys with a leak have the big thick black gasket installed between the tank top and pump assembly.

Just an update on my leak. I replaced the bulkhead fittings that Nick sent me yesterday. I tightened the crap out of them. Installed the pump. I went to the gas station, with my rear seat out, I watched the top of the fuel pump assembly while I put gas in it. Well....I got about 4.5 gallons in and I saw it start spewing out of the bulkheads. So now it leak with just a half of a tank in it. (I had about a 1/4 tank in it already)

Is there anything else on the assembly that could be causing this??? I am gonna contact Nick and send it back I think this week and have them check it out. So frustrating!
