BR Double Pumper "My car hates me!"

so i installed a BR double install went real smooth. Started right up rans, idles, ect.. BUT the next day started and looked at the pump housing and fuel was everywhere! im like WTF!? so clean it off let it dry. Start it up and its leaking out the center of the top of the housing!? its not leaking out the sides or out of a line. BUT I DONT SEE A CRACK or where it is leaking im so confused.. am i overlooking something anyone else have this problem??

The tip of the flat head is were it is leaking.. that white ring part.. PS i no there are wires everywhere will clean up after problem is fixed

UPDATE Sent it back to BR. I put it back into my car. Problem fixed

There is a black plastic nut on the top of the housing thats probably loose. The one where the red and black wires come out of. Try tightening it and be careful not to overtighten as it can break.

doh looked in the wrong spot. You may have to take it out and look to see if theres anything loose under there.

He may still help you out, but that was the wrong move on your part. Give him a call and see what he says before it gets messed with anymore. The worst he can now say, is no.

I thought the black nut on which the wires are coming from we're suppose to get tightened on the bottom side of the pumper?

I have been fighting the same issue. Buschur is working with me on a fix. I have tried tightening everything and I still get a leak from the exact same spot. Its really only when I fill the car up. I dont fill past the click, just let it stop on its own. When mine leaks, it leaks a decent gallon or two out from just sitting over night. Nothing like waking up cause your nostrils burn from the smell of gas in my house.

I am gonna pull mine back out this weekend and install some new bulkheads that I got from buschur. Hopefully this fixes it. Mine is only leaking from one of them. I am also gonna try to install some rubber o rings or washers under the bulkheads and see if that will stop the leak.

i took off the JB weld stuff. Talked to them on the phone. They said send it back so i did so. So im not going to complain. But yea my nuts and bolts were all tight. I had a 1/2 tank of gas of it was leaking out. Only at one of them tho.

Id recommend instead of trying to fix it yourself just sent it off to BR. I was told on the phone they have not been able not to fix one. so ur chances of them fixing it are pretty high

Guys, in the odd chance you get one of these that has a leak, DON'T DRIVE THE CAR. Figure out what the issue is, contact us and either let us fix it or try it yourself.

Most common problem is people forget to install the big fat flat o-ring between the tank and fuel pump assembly.

The nylon flat washer we use sits on top because it's a nice flat area to seal. The fittings have a large AN nut on the bottom and Jarrod tightens the crap out of them. There shouldn't be anyway a leak can even happen there as tight as they are.

We'd be glad to look at it if you send it back.

BTW, I just checked my mail, I have no messages from you.
