nice pick up, and holy low mileage. I didin't think 8's were still around with that low miles. Very good find indeed. How did the silver evo end it's life?

Don't worry about what u paid...you got what looks like a solid evo and u get to start over from the beginning!
Thanks man, I have a used evo as close to being unabused as possible. Now I have a road ahead of me to modify it exactly how I want.

If youre looking to make it to 280whp (Mustang dyno), ES tuned in Tucson AZ was able to get my car to 280hp/282tq on 91 octane with some basic bolt ons. (Exhaust, high flow cat, MBC, LICP)
That's pretty cool that we have very similar cars with the same milage. I've gone to Archie at PSI for tuning, but I've heard a lot of good things about Evan at ES tuned.

Thankyou. And long story short, I hit some sort of animal and the oil cooler ripped off along with damage to the front bumper. Car was towed, and held at a salvage yard where they started the car (without any oil). Insurance quoted the car quoted for $2-3 thousand for repairs and $4500 plus labor. Total cost to get the car up and running was going to be OVER 9000! which was over 70% of what the Evo was valued at.

I'd pay a good 20 or so for that, beautiful unmolested evo. I would also not modify it, for awhile at least. Whenever I am able to buy another evo if it's stock it will be staying that way. Could save up for a shell and build that if you wanted to full out modify it..

Keep it stock, there aren't any left in that condition these days. It will be worth more too, if you plan to sell it in the future.

Congrats on the new evo.

I know there's not a lot of evo 8's with this mileage and in stock form, but why keep it that way? To retain it's value? I was actually in the market for a modified (bolt on) evo to daily drive but I came across this one. I'll probably keep it stock for a little while but when I do decide to modify it, I feel like now I gotta spend money again on the same parts/labor/tune, which kinda sucks.

If you intend to keep it forever, mod it up how you like and have fun with it. If you think for a minute you might resell it in the future, keep her bone stock as they value for a stock evo is going up slowly since they don't really exist anymore.

Thats what the classifieds are here for, they have a lot of great deals on used and new parts on there man. If I wasnt broke as a joke right now I'd be buying all kinds of stuff on there. Congrats on the clean a$$ Evo man!
