Virgin Evo 8
Insurance totaled my last Evo about a month ago and I recently bought this one. Bone stock 03 BBY Evo 8 with 29,000 miles and clean carfax.
Driven from a San Diego dealership back to Arizona on the I8.
Old Evo. Really miss it
Paid a bit more than what is was valued by kbb. What's the most you would pay for this car if you had a loan and a down payment lined up? Opinions will be tolerated.
Anyways. I'm getting the itch to modify this thing and de-virginize it (only with the best parts). I've already changed the fluids and spark plugs. And I'm thinking of going with an Invidia catback exhaust, tial Q bov, hallman manual boost controller to what, about 20psi or so, and a boost gauge mounted on the steering column. That should keep me happy with it for a minute.
It just feels so restrictive and underpowered, and it sounds like a camry, so I can't wait to get it up in horsepower. I know I'd be content with it for the next few months if I can just get it up 270-280 whp.

BBY is such an awesome color. For a stock car with those miles I would probably pay about 20 if I cared about either of those things. I would want it for the color and condition regardless of mileage and mods.

I'd have to see how clean it really is to say how much I'd pay. If I lost my current evo and was looking for a clean replacement I'd pay a lot more than what it's "worth." For an 03 with that mileage I'd pay over 20k...maybe up to 22. It would really be dependent on how the car drives and if it were ever modified. Looks good tho. Don't worry about what u paid...you got what looks like a solid evo and u get to start over from the beginning!

We have almost identical cars, debadged the same way too. I just picked up a BBY 04' a few months back in Tucson AZ. Just now clocking in at 29k miles as well. It only had around 20k miles on it when i bought it though. I payed right around 22k for it, and it had a few mods.
If youre looking to make it to 280whp (Mustang dyno), ES tuned in Tucson AZ was able to get my car to 280hp/282tq on 91 octane with some basic bolt ons. (Exhaust, high flow cat, MBC, LICP)
