Using a sharpie on the bulb itself works just fine and seems to hold up just fine.

I know this is an old post.. but in case anyone else checks it, or needs the info.

The HVAC, Ignition key ring, and cigarette lighter are size 74 bulbs.
The ACD/Fog Lights/etc. are NEO3 Bulbs.

Size 74

3 for HVAC
1 for ash tray
1 for cigarette ring
1 for key ring

Edit: Note* If you get LEDs make sure you get side projecting ones as well.. (similar to this: http://www.superbrightleds.com/morei...edge-base/228/) or you will have 3 brighter spots as LEDs output is more focused.
NEO3

You only need 1 per switch but I think i put 2 in all of them but 1..
So.. Math = 7

Which ones did you order? SuperbrightLEDs?

I had to take the contact tabs and bend them over and stick them through the hole, I soldered them to the circuit board on the proper contacts so they wouldnt ever wiggle loose.

I ordered some ebay crap. Just to see if its in working order. I got some 74's from V-leds.com

I only wanted to see what it was like. $10 for the neos, and i read the NEO 5(5mm) will suffice. But I didnt know the Fog light button has a light. Does Hazard have one too? My A/C light is out, but that i need to cut and solder. So bueno for me.

If you want both hot/cold to both be red change the bulb, but if you want cold to be blue and hot as red then use acrylic paint to color the clear plastic piece.

Check post #11 to see my setup.

I painted some using a red Sharpe and used the red condoms to replace the oem blue ones for the others....works great to this day. I still have to do the clock ... :-/

Any tips on that? Never got around to searching for a How To on changing the clock to amber/red.
