Wrecked Evo, Stupid deer...

I have a similar post in the WTB: section, hoping some people have the parts I need. If im missing anything PLEASE chime in, Id love to hopefully get this thing ready as soon as possible. I may also overhaul the engine while it is in the paint booth so any shops looking for some extra business let me know! Hey guys long story short 3 deer ran out in front of my car the day before mothers day while i was getting on a on-ramp. Swerved to miss them and back tires caught gravel and swung rear of car outwards. Corrected the car a few times but the on-ramp is pretty narrrow and both sides have small cylinders everywhere so it was no use. Slide sideways going about 30-35mph went down into the grass and slide into a group of trees. Car was full, on our way to see the avengers movie . Everyone had their seatbelts on and walked away pretty much uninjured. I smashed my door into the tree first and shoulder and side hit the door. Doc thinks I may have cracked some ribs but I cant complain at all. Front passenger tweaked his back a tad but nothing a few days rest didnt cure. Rear passengers were fine, just shook up. Smashed left side of car something good. No air bags or frame damage except middle pillar between doors. Rest of car is fine just scratches from branches. Really need some help finding parts. Lancershop is looking pretty good so far but would buy anything private if available. And now pics...

Parts needed are:

Drivers side front and rear door
Drivers side front fender
Drivers side Roof
Side skirt
Roof rail
Windshield
Drivers Headlight
Front Bumper (its an 8) but will take a 9.

GOOD GOD !!!! im sorry to hear about the evo, at least you were able to avoid the deer. i hope insurance is helping you out with getting everything fixed. i would say the best option for you is start looking in the for sale section here on evom. people are constantly parting their cars out. also check craigslist.

please keep us updated on the situation . Im also glad to hear you and your passengers are all ok as well.

It's horrible to say but always cheaper to hit the deer. You swerve and go off the road now its a collision claim or fix the car yourself. If you hit the deer it would have been a comp claim insurance would fix without any rate increase.

And anyone in their right mind keep their comp deductible near to nothing

Glad you all were ok and GL with the repairs man

Ouch, deer suck. All the more reason to go shoot them during season.

Glad everyone was okay.

Give English Racing a call...I know they have a few Evo's that they are parting out at any given time.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I believe that drivers ed/training actually instruct you to hit the deer/animal rather than to swerve out of the way and potentially hit something else.

sorry to hear mate, but as people have said. Don't ever swerve to miss an animal. chances are you'll go off the road killing someone and/or yourself.

Who cares if it's cheaper to do one or the other. Insurance will pay for that. You've only got one life.
In australia the most common things hit are kangaroos and wombat's and both will write your car off, but you'll live. Much worse to go sideways into a tree.

Thats actualy a rule of thumb here to hit the deer dont swerve to avoid them you could end up killing your self or on coming car that way. Thats some major damage done there, if he had hit the deer maybe a new bumper, hood, winsheild, roof possibly? Intercooler too. But yes its better to just hit the deer as sad as it sounds its safer for us.
Glad your ok thou, that roof rail is gunn be the *** pain to fix, they gunna have to pull it and repair it, or cut it and weld/solder in metal not to many times do the replace roof rails, thats a structural peice of the car.

there was a video i seen on a crazy **** website, where a suv swerves to miss a deer and goes in the other lane goes sideways and a semi truck completly destroys the SUV i mean it split the SUV in to peices.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Happen so fast I really just instinctively cut the wheel. Alot of people have pm'd me on parts so it's getting there! Ive just been working a crap ton this last week so sorry about the delayed response. Go fast bits are coming in to play since i might as well build the motor while its pulled for paint. Which btw, paint colors anyone?? Anything but silver is an option. I like to be different
