noob question

noob question

i just put 5 quarts of mobil 1 in my car. it reads a little above the 2nd line which is a little over the good section, this dosent matter does it? just want to make sure. im pretty sure the car will use some oil anyway. sorry for the noob *** question but im very paranoid with my car.

By any chance do you put oil in the filter before you put it on that might help you with .5 of a quart maybe lol

yes i put the oil in the filter used the rest of that quart and 4 more

Should always start car up and let run for a few secs before checking oil level. And putting oil in filter is always a good thing to do if you dont forget.
