New Release! Tarzan G Box by Do Luck
This is a very exciting new product release for CT9A from Tarzan Yamada and our friends at Do-Luck: The Tarzan G Box. It's an g-force sensor proven to improve the awd system of your CT9A and is already in use by Prostock, AutoGallery, HKS Kansai Service, Auto Select, Garage Ito, etc.
Here is what Do-Luck has to say:
"Tarzan Yamada applies his knowledge and experience to produce a new G-Sensor that improves 4WD performance under any conditions.
The “G Box” replaces the stock G-sensor and responds multiple times faster to control the 4WD system (ACD/AYC/ET-S etc.) Parameters such as Front/Rear & Left/Right torque distribution; duration and timing have all been refined by Tarzan himself over multiple test sessions in many different cars of varying specification.
Optimisation of the G-Sensor signal allows improved acceleration and cornering at levels which previously felt impossible to achieve. The improved traction gained from the G-Box is reminiscent of the feeling from a mechanical LSD but without the associated noise and discomfort.
Whilst differences can be felt under all circumstances, it is particularly noticeable under braking. Improved response time allows full optimised use of the 4WD system to improve stability whilst braking. G-Sensor signals are also sent to the ABS system where the reduced response time improves the performance “feel” of the braking system.Unleash the full potential of your braking system with the Tarzan G Box!
Tarzan G Box has been setup to allow pro level drivers to improve performance on the race track with many top level tuning shops already improving their lap times on the circuit. However, the setup has also been tested by drivers of different abilities on both the road and race track. The results were simple… All drivers improved with the Tarzan G Box on the circuit and also felt more comfortable and safer in their car on the road. Safer and Faster! Tarzan G Box can deliver it all!"
Ito-san of Do Luck has shared with us some of the track proven performance of the new Tarzan G Box:
Tsukuba 58.8 --> 57.768(R32GT-R)
Tsukuba 58.4 -->57.489(R32GT-R)
Tsukuba 1.00.3 -->59.5(CT9A)
Tsukuba 1.01.3 -->59.8(BCNR33)
We are debuting this product with a special Evo M group buy for $850 shipped anywhere in the world.

I wonder if it's actually a more responsive G-Force sensor, or if it's simply a normal G-Force sensor with some electronics that make it "lie" to trick the ECU into being more aggressive?
If it's truly a better sensor, I may be interested. Otherwise I'd rather flash the ACD instead of using a piggyback to lie to it.
Kinda like S-AFC compared to EcuFlash.

It sounds like it is just a G-sensor with a higher sampling frequency. I can't imagine it would do much unless the the ACD ECU and ABS ECU are setup to receive information at higher frequencies than the stock G-sensor samples. It would really take an understanding of the communications and software of the control units to determine if this actually does anything.
Even then, would it really make a difference to the overall output of the units? Granted, the best way of eliminating steady state error is having the most accurate measurement.

I don't think this would do much for my 2003 VIII but it does sound interesting...for the right price...
