4 point harness

Hey guys, any recommendation on a seat belt harness I should buy? I'm hoping to get one close to the color of gun metal or grey. If not, color isn't a huge factor.

I swear people read too much into things here and don't follow context. Thanks for the input, but I'm building a car for the track as well as street. I posted up my build a few days ago in the show and shine if you're interested in looking at it.

I only ask for the colors because I do know you can buy them in different colors. It would be nice to stick to a theme but safety takes precedence here. I have proper harness bar, but I will be putting a true roll cage in my car once complete.

A friend of mine told me there were things you could buy for your belt harness that absorb some of the impact, so your body doesn't absorb it all. I'm not sure what this is called, if anyone knows?

Ive run the Autocontrol in 2 different cars & would not drive w/out it. Its a high performance 3 point, great for the street & track days.

Gives you the freedom of movement while street driving because of the inertia reel & you can electronically lock it up on the track.

Anyway, You mentioned it, so I thought Id share

... no that's not it at all... people just like to bash on others all day because Evo's are the ultimate driving machines and were only meant for 3 things.
1) Rally racing
2) Road racing
3) Drag racing
....its actually a sin they sold street legal versions, kind of like writing the word 'stance' in the suspension forum.

I almost always aim for function over form. That's why I have 285/30/18's on my car on a stock body. Most people can't even get 265's on their car w/o rubbing issues.

The other day I posted something about clamps and intercooler piping for my diverter valve. Then someone points out some random clamp on some other pipe in my car (that has nothing to do with my question) and tells me I should worry about that because it was rusted and didnt even respond to my actual question. Not knowing I had box of $100.00 worth of expensive clamps.

There is a lot of good info of this monopoly of a forum though! So I am very happy about that. Gotta sift through the weeds.

I meant the other way around, "function over form"*.

How much movement does that belt allow? How's the comfort, does it rub on your neck at all? Could I mount the belt to a harness bar? I have one I will be using until I get my cage installed.

I do plan on designing and having a cage made that will allow for a sun roof and a back seat so I can fit at least 4 people in my car. I know that isn't a 100% full race cage, I bought a 4 door for a reason. I think the cage will pass tech spec and allow for real safety. I would like to pad as much of the cage as possible to avoid injuries to passengers since most of the time my car will be on the street.
