sounds like it. im not expert tho. i have a similar sound (urs sounds worse), less audible but it only comes on sometimes ??? :-/

 

Definitely doesn't sound too good. Is it in all gears? Coasting in neutral?

Hard to tell, video isn't the same as being in the car. Mine did it at 40+ mph, Jack's Transmissions http://www.jackstransmissions.com/ went above and beyond customer service for me.

I"m 95% sure that your TC is upset and crying, that's what mine sounded like, got it built buy Shep.

 

Why or how did it happened just out of curiosity, normal wear and tear, abuse or wrong oil ?

 

They were put together wrong from factory. That add abuse and extra power makes a ticking time bomb. Especially if you drag race the car.

 

Yup, all gears, coasting in neutral.

 

I drag raced it about 9 times...I/m almost positive I used the right fluids when draining and filling after clutch change. But, from what I gather, it is a wear and tear problem with a combo of mis properlly installed from Mitsu

Mine did the same thing all of the sudden, had ~17k miles on my 9 when it went

 

Yes that does suck but now you will have a built one...forced upgrading
