Skreeching noise when pressing the clutch...Is this normal?

It's an Evo 9 mr (6 speed) with stock clutch. Lately this skreeching noise started to appear when I press the clutch in. It sounds like something metal like a metal wire is rubbing against something... Something like that. Is this normal? When the car is on or off it makes no difference.. Should I be worried about this or is this just a normall sporty car thing? Thanks

What kind of clutch are you running under there? Sometimes clutches depending on what kind of friction material can make different sounds but not when the clutch is pressed in. Honestly I would try to take it to a reputable shop and get that checked. It could be the clutch on its way out with broken springs screeching up against the flywheel caught in between the assembly or the throwout bearing on its way out.

I'm pretty sure it's a stock clutch.. I'm not the first owner and it's been standing for a long time... And it only makes the noise while I press the clutch (that noise happens when it's almost fully pressed. Then once it's fully pressed it doesnt make any noise. I think its the springs... But that isn't a big problem right?

It sounds very similar to the noise in the video. The noise happens at a certain point during the clutch engagement. Except the noise is a bit higher pitched than the one in the video
