Evo question transfer case

Well I am officially the proud owner of my first 2003 lancer evo 8.

It has a brand new stage 2 transfer case, my question is how many miles do you reccomend to break it in?

Shep reccomends the first few hundred miles but what is your preference for safety?

John Shepherd is highly respected and the one who built your transfer case. I would follow his instructions. Instead of some dingle berry on the interwebs.

no offense

I would say that sounds about right. Then a fluid change.

A few hundred... like 2-300 will be no problem it helps the gears mesh/wear into each other.... that's all it does, its not a big deal.

what kind of clutch? these cars make a lot of funny drivetrain noises, even when 100% mechanically perfect.
