ok, this is probably a dumb question but i have an ets intercooler and wanted to put an evo 9 front bumper on my car.

will it fit?

when you order the intercoolers they ask if you have an 8 or 9 front bumper.

isnt the only difference the core size for the opening of the bumper?

 

Opening on the IX bumper is smaller than on the VIII's So for the IX ETS offered a wide tank option so that the core portion fits to the opening perfectly then they mated wider end tanks

Either cooler will fit the VII or IX without issue though

What he said, it's really only a 2 inch difference and you wont really notice any performance issues. If anything it'll make the intercooler appear larger since it takes more than the alloted space
