Running E85 - Damage O2 sensor?
I ran E85 for an entire year; daily drive through winter and summer, and autox, and never had any issues related to sensors. And during that time, my 02 sensors already had over 100k on them. Hope you figure you the issue.
Memphisraynes,
I am a product specialist with Walker Products, a manufacturer and worldwide distributor of oxygen sensors. E85 burns very well and, as posted above, will not contaminate or otherwise harm your O2 sensors. However, E85 is a more aggressive solvent then gasoline, and if your vehicle is not designed or modified specifically for this fuel type, significant damage could occur to your engine gaskets, seals and linings. Complications from this could, in turn, damage your O2 sensors.

is the o2 sensor relocated and or rubbing anywhere? theyre known to be very sturdy as the others have stated above, and in my personal experience when i removed my front o2 from my o2 housing i had to weld a 4 foot rod to it in order to crank it off, and i still reused it with no problems
