Weight of stock Evo seats?
Did a search and didn't see an answer. Maybe I missed it.
Looking to find what the exact weight of the Evo front seats is.
Thanks!

Thank you! Hopefully someone here knows, but if not I would appreciate it if you could weigh one.

do people think this weight is with sliders and base or without? they took my seat out to replace the backing and they had TWO big guys wrestling with that damn thing to get it in AND they scratched up all my scuff plates.
I bought a replacement front seat I have it in my upstairs closet I can go weight it for you. It has the sliders on and I think it around #45. I will check and come back and post for you.
I'm not sure total but I put them in by myself with no prob, MUCH lighter than stock Lancer seats and the packages shipped to me with sliders in the packaging was in the higher 30's

hmmm... so like typical fiberglass or carbon kevlar seats are about 14lbs... that's definitely without sliders and base... how much do you think the aftermarket bases and sliders put on? would you ACTUALLY save weight from doing all this? or would you just gain the comfort
There must be different bases around, so a weight would not be universally correct.
My guess is the base could run up to ten lb., the sliders less than five. I would think you could do better than that with some recycled late model lancer bases.
Nevertheless, as you can see you are not going to have to readjust your coilovers from the weight difference.
Comfort is a relative term, a race seat doesn't allow much squirm room. That is good during a race, not so good driving accross country.

leave it. the seat in my 90 300zxtt was 76 lbs. yes. 76..
you can loose about 5lbs in "extra bolts" around the car. extra bolts- noun. the extra bolts that hold on items like the dash, blower fan. radio, etc. nothing vital.
but. it will squeek, a little.
