I had an aftermarket head unit for a while and it died and i didnt feel like buying a new one. I have my stock one and everything hooks up right EXCEPT the connector with the pins in it. I put in two pics pointing to the area i am a tad confused with. Am I missing a part? or is there something im just not understanding?

ok so probably what they did was this.


reset the connector that came from the factory. what this means is that they will clip off the ORIGINAL power harness connector.

this is very usual when you go afternarket from Mitsubishi. typically you have to modify the existing harness to fit afternarket decks.


now you can go into an autozone and request a stock connector. clip all the wires again and then put that one on.

It's been awhile since I've been behind my radio but if I'm not mistaken the "roundish" jack on the back of the head unit was for factory multi disc cd players

 

And seeing to little 8 pin plug hanging out in your dash do you happen to have the ssl package on it? If so you need the mn141490 deck and us non ssl guys need the Mn141489 or Mr587268. I'm curious if thats the hu that goes in the hole lol
