you don't need to use that, you can use the fuel temps

i'm sure you're on midwestforums...talk to Tom about tuning it, I don;t use the IAT sensor because I use the fuel temp. Note IAT temp is better when driving in different temperatures (ie pulling car out of heated garage into cold weather)

Fuel temp is very consistent, when IAT you will constantly need to be re-tuned.

^ that i did not know, but i haven't had any real issues with my car on SD besides driveability. Unless your MAF is garbage I wouldn't make the swap, I have been on it know for about a year and had it retuned and the driveability isn't there. It is glitchy at low rpm's and it isnt worth the minimal gains

Are you on fuel temp, then? One of the main benefits of SD over a MAP is it's responsiveness and smooth drivability, ironically .

And yep, I've had quite a few friends that were tuned on IAT and needed to touch up their tune every season.

You do not need to get EMS. I just put my car from EMS to Stock ECU SD. Just get SD tuned based off of your fuel temp sensor. Any SD tuner should be able to do that (and would probably prefer doing it that way).
