Copper plugs work just fine. I also believe the problem is due to your tune being overly rich!

The reason I go with the coppers is because I only put about 5k miles on the car in a year and since I'm am modding fairly often I don't see the point in buying a 60k plug.

Get it tunned when i bought my evo 8 i was getting 200 miles out of a gas tank and after the tune i get 300 miles on a gas tank and thats using the boost preaty often.
