Over voltage issue, please help
Fix in post number 3
So after having my car down for two months for an un realated issue, i hop in and got for a drive. My brake and battery light come on, i check the gauge and its 15.0 volts spike and fallin between 15.4-14.6v. Im in school for auto tech and after some discussion and testing we deem my voltage regulator to be at fault. $85 and 2 hours labor later i still have the same issue. Search google and the forums and i see dead batteries fuses and cables to be at fault. Not the case. Autozone tested my battery. I have minimal resistance in my cables and fuses are good. Swapped to be safe. Its the weekend so school assistance is out. I researched a bit and pulled wiring diagrams but elctricity is my weakest subject. I checked for breaks in wires by hand. Any obvious shorts and ensured my plugs were clean both at the ecu and alternator. I was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar issue that might have some insight.

Id like to thank all those that gave their advice...
Fix: My starter went out on top of the over voltage. So i traced the signal wire and found a plug above the transmission wasnt clipped. Reconnected it and it righted both issues. Over looked it on the alternator wiring diagram so i never check it to begin with.
Just posting so the next guy knows to check it

Edit: Turns out both the alternators I had were faulty...
