Boost leak test.... have a leak at the throttle body bolts what to do
Hey guys. I did another boost leak test today. I found a nice leak by the bolt head that holds the throttle body onto the intake manifold. How do I fix this? My neighbor said about putting thread sealant on possibly! This is not shaft seals, right? Three out of four are leaking. The only one that seems not to be leaking is the top one under the fuel pressure gauge. What do I do here guys? Here's a picture to show you guys.
First of all don't loop the two nipples on top of the TB..they need their own caps. It's probably the shaft seals leaking. I would take the TB off to do the seals and put on a new gasket. Torque to spec and you will be leak free. Thread sealant won't work since those bolts don't actually seal anything.
