MPG for e 85 vs 93 pump?

I was wondering how much faster e 85 burns then 93 pump gas? Also would the cost for each be the same or would you have to spend more for e 85 in the long run because of worse mpg compared to 93 pump?
Also is their any downside to e85 or is it all pros?
Lastly how would i run e 85 on a evo 8/9 is it just a pro tune? how about on a evo x?
I know from my last 300zx twin turbo, i would have had to run bigger fuel pump, injectors, and even larger fuel lines.

Two years on 91 octane averaged 18 mpg.
Four years (so far) on E85 averaged 14 mpg.

Mpg should not be in the same sentence as E85. E85 is usually being used to get max power and resistance to knock/ detonation rather than efficiency. If you're truly concerned about mpg than E85 is not going to be a good alternative, then again a modified evo driven the way it should will not be mpg friendly either..lol.

Gas has a higher BTU than E-85, it takes double the e-85 to equal almost the same amount of power as gasoline. Thats why you can get more power out of the e-85 vs the gasoline. You get better mileage with gas in general

sorry, not to be stickler... but your points are good but your statement needs some cleaning up or extra technical knowledge to back it up... otherwise it doesn't make logical sense if you brake it down. "....it takes more e85... that's why it makes more power..."
Maybe its because I'm drunk it makes it more comical.

Let me lend you a hand. Ethanol has some benefits like cooling combustion which allows more ignition...overall in results higher cylinder pressures which = more power... bazinga!

...although because of the energy differences to gasoline.. ethanol.. which is much less... take more E to = gasoline which means more E to get the same type of energy which = less fuel economy.

i drive roughly 35 miles a day, 5 days a week for work..so give or take from 175 miles just for commuting to work, then i MAY put 50-60 miles on my car over the weekend(yea i dnt drive alot at all) neways, so if i had to guess i put about 230-240 miles on my car in a 7 day period...NEWAYS, i run e85, i fill up every saturday regardless of how much is left in it, but if i filled up from empty and ran all week i would say i only have a 1/4 tank left, which i really dnt think is that bad at all, i dnt beat my car either, and this is ALL city driving

obviously this is going to depend on the tune also to really see how close the mpg comparison is.. some people like to lean out fuel trims for cruising and dding. on the other hand i kept my car at about 11.2 afrs in WOT to be safe as i have a built motor and big turbo setup making 665whp at 34psi. so i would rather be a tad rich then lean to be safer.. also runing a larger injector for e85 is nearly a must have when going that route. so obviously you are going to slow more fuel therefore it is also necessary to burn it to make the extra power people running e85 are looking for.

I get about 160 miles out of 12.5 gallons of E85. On gas I get about 225 miles out of a full tank of 92. Since E85 is .50 - .75 cents cheaper where I live it calculates out to about a wash. Getting 85 ft/tq @ 3500 RPM makes it worth the extra trips to the fill up station.

u guys must drive ur cars really hard ALL the time, i made my trip back from Pennsylvania(i live in ohio) yesterday, roughly a 415 mile trip one way, neways i made it 140-145 miles on half a tank which calculates out to real close to 300 miles per full tank, soooo u guys numbers seem quite off if ur doin alot of highway driving, now if its all city i understand, but if ur able to stay outta boost for 95% of a long trip u can get good gas mileage
