Does anyone if there is a red badge available for the VIII?
I know there's one for the trunk which I'd like to get, but would really like to match it with a red front, my car's black so I think it only makes sense.
Any help would be great, I just don't want to paint the front badge....

you can vinyl in the correct red cut just shy of the edges and put them on. that's what i did and it looks great. i'd post a pic but i can't figure out how to insert an image in my posts! ami dumb?!

 

On the Official Weightless White picture thread, there is one on page 3 (depending on your browser set up) with a red symbol. Looks decient.

Thats the way I do it, then you click on "reply to post", then click on the "IMG" box and enter the IP addy. You get the IP from the site above after you upload them, then click the picture you want to post, ctr+C the link, then ctr+v it in the IMG box....

I have seen the red vinyl already cut to place over the badge on ebay. The company has it for the front and back badges, along with other vinyl products.

 

Lemme ask this, if I were to get the front badge painted professionally, do you think you could buy the Evolution VIII badge and have it painted to match as well and still hold up to the elements for the next 5-10 years?

I just want to do a black and red motiff on the car and get rid of all chrome items.... Which means I would have to get the Evolution VIII painted as well. Just curious.

 

Alot of people with Chevy trucks have been doing this for awhile and it's worked fine. Everyone i have talked to who has done it did it themselves with sandpaper, primer, and some quality ppg paint. I haven't seen anyone have problmes yet.

 

You can buy the JDM red one at Vivid. A little 'spensive though ($50)

 

Does the one above me here go on the front or rear of the car? I know the rear is out there, I'm looking for the front one.

I'm looking for the one that goes on the front of the VIII. I don't even know if a red front badge exists, but I'm hoping someone here will know and might be able to find a place to purchase one.

 

What I did was buy another front badge. Then used this product called Bull Dog to take that chrome color off and make it so that the paint will stick better. I haven't had any problems with it, and it was easy to do. I also have the red badge for the back. I'll post some pics..
