Stainless Oil Cooler Lines
Stainless Oil Cooler Lines
Figured I'd show you guys the line kit I built for the oil cooler. As you guys may or may not know, banjo bolts are not good for flow and pressure drop. It isn't necessary since its just the oil cooler but I wanted to do it
.

I think I will revise the kit a little later but it works for now
.
For anyone curious, these are BMRS lines that are crimped on and tested up top 800psi. The stainless line is very light, and very flexible. Some of the best stuff out there, used in Indycar, Nascar, ALMS, its some good stuff.

I don't believe you can buy it, and the lines need crimped on using specific machines. I got it through work, if there was interest I was going to make a few line kits and sell them but it doesn't appear that is the case :P. Which is ok, I just figured I'd help out the forum (wasn't really going to do it for a profit).

How much were you thinking about selling it for? I thought of this same setup before but I'm waiting for my rubber lines to go bad before going through the hassle of install.
Also I can almost gaurentee you that this would at least sell a few on ebay. I might sell some carbon fiber parts I make on ebay to recoup my investments.
I didn't price the kits out yet, was gauging interest first. I'm guessing right around 200-250. The lines are Brown and Miller Racing Solutions. Its top quality stuff, it makes Earls look like crap.
how about the size and thread pitch of the fittings on the oil cooler and block so we can build our own using an lines instead that wouldnt need to be crimped.
and yes i do realize you wouldnt make money but you would help the community...

Dang that's pretty steep for what it is. Costs more than my brake and clutch lines put together. Might just stick to oem replacement then.
Try pricing it out through earls or summit, its about the same price and not as high quality.
Thread is M18X1.5? It might have been M14x1.5, I can't remember. I did this a month or two ago lol.

It even tells you how to assemble it. If you arent comfortable assembling them, take them to a hydraulic shop and theyll do it for pretty cheap. This place is right down the street and I get all couplers and braided ss lines from here, real cheap prices.
