Hit in the back by a truck!
same here. silver evo 8 hit in the back by a ford truck. lame, lame, lame. get it fixed then sell it or trade it in. if the repairs are good enough you can always change your mind and keep it, that should help keep you sane while you wait. i would be very concerned about that drivetrain damage though, you are right to be skeptical, i was lucky if you can call it that, the roads were wet and i was creeping into a parking lot when the ford shoved my in to taco bell without stressing the drivetrain.

I haven't had it but 9 months or so now and to me it seems to me that I should be placed back where I was before the accident or close to it. If I can't get a new car than I rather not have to continue paying on a 30k car that is wrecked and will never be the same again. I had a lot of love for the car...

No there not going to total it out. For a wreck you got out pretty ok. And you will have to continue paying for it. I know it's not what you would like but it reality.
Take it to the absolute best body shop you can (one with a lifetime warranty), have the drivetrain checked over (make his/her insurance company pay for that)... if you aren't satisfied continue complaining until it's the way you want it don't compromise.
WOah, all silver evos got hitted by truck. hahah...sorry man. That is freakin gay dude. Well, while you're at it, make up some medical reasons and try to get money out of it. That is what I would be doing. Peace...
Sorry to hear about that
Sorry to hear about that but there's no way your car is a total loss. The cost of repair has to cost more that about $25k which it almost impossible. Good luck in finding a good repair shop that will put your EVO back into like new condition.
Well here is an update... So far the body has been estimated at 5100$ and might be more they think but can't tell till they take everything apart. The drivetrain I don't know about till it gets to mitsubishi.
thanks for the info everyone!
