Question about Car Ramps
This may sound like a dumb question, but what are some of the best ramps to get if you don't want to go old school and use a 2x4 to get on your ramps?
I was on ebay looking at Race Ramps...

is this a joke?
Race ramps are a solid choice. You can get them so they break down into smaller peices to either remove the ramp for more access room, or store them in what's probably an already cramped garage... at least mine is

It may seem like a joke, but my friend coincidentally just made a pair for his corvette and they work amazingly. 3 2x8's high was enough for him to be able to get the jack under the crossmember and he also angled the front of each section so they're easier to roll onto
I dont know exactly what you need them for, but for my lowered evo I need a set of Tomioka ramps, very low profile and gives me enough height to use my jack.

I made the same one as in the link and had its use plenty of times over the past few years and held up great. The only downside is the wood is bulky, but it works and cheap
I have some wooden ramps myself, and they are especially cheap when the wood is free.
And if it really bugs you about the bulk or the ramps you can always mod them as seen here:
