Exedy Twin...already slipping!!
Took my Exedy Twin out and replaced it with a Comp HD Stage IV. I've never hated a clutch more than the Exedy. Got like 10k miles out of it, no launches, clutch always adjusted properly. Rebuilds are a metric ton seeing as half the time they warp the intermediate plates as well.
The Comp Stage IV holds more power than the Twin and is a breeze to drive around town and shifts as fast as you can make it at ~8500rpms. Oh, and it cost me $400 and the stock flywheel is recommended. That's compared to the almost $1K per rebuild every 10K miles for the Twin.. No thanks.
Never would I ever put an Exedy Twin back in my car.

Weird I had my Exedy twin for over 30k, I layed pure hate on that clutch it was like the more aggressive I drove the better it grabbed! highway pulls, drag strip, track days, and two full years of competitve hill climbing and never had an issue with the clutch. The only reason I got rid of it was because I sold the car. Im surprised so many have negative reviews, I would try playing with the engagement and see if that does anything for you.
Good luck!

My buddy got 60k out of his twin in a 300/300 car.
And there is 10k on mine and its never seen under 450 tq.
..just sayin

Id have to agree with this guy. Loved my Exedy Twin HD 12 massive launches just to break the 12 (11.8) second barrier at 410 ft lbs and it still had 98% life remaining when we pulled it last winter for my build. Great clutch hands down when it is installed and adjusted properly!

It says the multi-plate clutches are rated up to 800.. meaning a triple, the twin is rated closer to 550. I have put about 10K on mine, over 400 ft lbs. Drive it hard everytime I am in it. Countless launches on the street and on the strip. Thing still grabs like a dream. It is a bit loud but doesnt bother me at all, I actually kinda like it.
That's just a generic description they use for all their multiplate clutches. The twin is rated at 550 ft/lbs for road racing and 450 ft/lbs for drag passes.
Mine is nice for daily driving. It's kind of noisy but whatever, it's a race car haha. I can't speak for longevity though because I've only had it since December.
