Do you have the SD version or HD? If it's SD, it can only hold 430ft-lbs and you are a little beyond that limit. If HD, then you might have slipped the clutch really bad at launch.

Do you have a clutch stop? Mine was slipping and the clutch stock was to tight so i adjusted that and it worked good as new.

I have a hks pro twin disk and only got about 12,000 miles out of it, just had the the cluth done with a rebuild kit for the hks pro twin disk. I don't know why it went so quick either I only have about a dozen hard launches on it?

The only downside of having a twin is their mileage. I drive right around 20k miles a year, and I don't foresee me being a fan of dropping the tranny once a year or more.

well Exedy redesigned their twin disk. so it might be that your using the previous twin disk. I just put a twin disk HD in my car never had a issue so far.

I track the crap out of my car. I would say 30k total miles with 15 hard track days. And it is still working. Maybe all it needs is adjusting the engagement point.

What the?

The exedy twin HD is the universally accepted best DD'ing clutch for the mild/moderate built evo....

Ive put a good 18-20k on mine and its still kickin.. and this includes going to track from time to time.

What a single disk clutch that locks you out at 8500 and has a tq limit of 425 -- no thanks.

Id shread that clutch in one track day.

The exedy twin HD is in a class above your suggested comp clutch...

I have an Exedy HD and I have put 6k miles on it. Its not slipping at all.

Did you try the fifth gear test to confirm its slipping?

still only rated at 450 vs 535 -- and no single will ever shift as fast as a twin.

In my logs my shifts are .27-.29 without NLTS
