My friend had a similar issue when he bought his evo. It would die sometimes up hills or going to a stop. Turns out someone screwed the biss all the way in and broke it. Once we change it out, it fixed the issue. Its worth a look. Be extremely careful, its made of very weak plastic.

Check for a Vacuum leak to the EGR plumbing at the back of the IM. Also wouldnt hurt to check and see if you have a leaky throttle body while youre at it.

How do you check to see if you have a leaky throttle body?

Look behind the glovebox and see what brand is the ECU.

Im gonna say this AGAIN! Are you on speed density or maf ? If you already replaced the IAC and its still doing that, its most likely to be the bov that you have vta. Then again if you still have the maf with a leaky bov.

Another thing what kind of bov do you have ? If you can recirculate it, do it and see if it fixes the idle..

I run speed density no maf and it was running fine before vta so i dont think it could be that. I appreciate all the feedback too guys. Good stuff.

Could you please clarify?
Your sentence implied that you ran "Speed Density" BEFORE "Vent-To-Atmosphere".

Oh i meant my car was running fine like a month ago. I currently vta and have been this whole time. This leads me to believe that my bov is not the problem.

I think it could be a loose hose or a vacuum line or something like that. How can i check those?
