Bov Powder coating

I have a tial QR bov, i want to Powder Coat it but my friend told me its not good to do. SO i wanted to know if it would be ok to do it or just leave it alone

im sure that if you took it all apart and had just the body done you would be fine. Id like to see the outcome though

Powder coating is not a good option imo since the person doing the work would have a hard time masking the parts so the paint don't get inside, since the blow off needs a good tight seal inside to work properly a thick coat of paint inside would definitley not be good for it,if you really want to change the color i would anodize it instead, that's how they come from Tial anyways

Ppl that don't speak from experience shouldn't try and provide answers
Taking bov apart, getting powder coated, and reassembly is 100% fine. Don't need no custom anodizing
Cheaper option is remove the top and bottom cap by removing the 6 small bolts, tape off the diaphragm and anything exposed. go over lightly with sand paper or steel wool, clean well, paint with a spray can. Vht, duplicolor, or any automotive paint. Let dry for 24 hours and done. I'll post a pic later today. Just painted my wg

Yeah it's completely fine. Mine is apart right now for some powder coating.
