Bov Powder coating
I have a tial QR bov, i want to Powder Coat it but my friend told me its not good to do. SO i wanted to know if it would be ok to do it or just leave it alone
Powder coating is not a good option imo since the person doing the work would have a hard time masking the parts so the paint don't get inside, since the blow off needs a good tight seal inside to work properly a thick coat of paint inside would definitley not be good for it,if you really want to change the color i would anodize it instead, that's how they come from Tial anywaysTrending Topics
One of these is in Mentor and the other one in Columbus.http://www.anodizingspecialists.com/pricing_info.html

Ppl that don't speak from experience shouldn't try and provide answers
Taking bov apart, getting powder coated, and reassembly is 100% fine. Don't need no custom anodizing
Cheaper option is remove the top and bottom cap by removing the 6 small bolts, tape off the diaphragm and anything exposed. go over lightly with sand paper or steel wool, clean well, paint with a spray can. Vht, duplicolor, or any automotive paint. Let dry for 24 hours and done. I'll post a pic later today. Just painted my wg
