Swapping Evo 9 parts to an Evo 6 TME

Ok so how hard to swap all of the evo 9 parts including engine transmission transfer case shafts axles diffs brakes coilovers etc into an evo 6 shell?

Or to be clear, is it possible to do that kind of swap? Evo 9 stuff into and evo 6 shell?

What kind of problems will i have if i wanna do that kind of swap?

I think it will be the ultimate evo for tracking, low weight of evo 6 + high technology of evo 9, it looks like a dream evo to me.

All opinions are welcome.

I believe some other members have already done or are doing the same project, run a search, I'm pretty sure you'll come up with at least some, if not most, of what you're looking for.

Well i know that the tcase and the suspension isnt compatible but there are solutions about it.

I am asking about some other hard stuff which is impossible to solve.

Alright Gunes,
Have a search for a thread I wrote called
"7,8,9 parts on early evo's",this should tell you
what is just 'bolt on',have a look for mirage conversions
As these will also be a good source of info for
Using an old shape shell with newer parts.
Either way you have a lot of fabrication to look
Forward to,if it's just the light weight you are after
could you not just lighten your ix?

Thanks for info I am after the light weight indeed for my "road runner project". Btw you can get info about it at www.roadrunnerevo.com

I can lighten my 9 but what happen if we lighten the 6

Also my ix shell have a rear right side damage from early years, but the 6 shell which i am goin to swap is pristine. So it will be like a complete new car. The best part is we are exchaning the shells so i dont need to spend money for a clean shell.

Ah and it is an evo 6 TME so u know how hardcore it is by look. It looks completely relentless
