Just curious...

I understand the answer will depend on sanctioning body and class, but there ought to be some general prep suggestions.

mud flaps. good rally rims and tires, a good under panel for the car to keep rocks and dirt out of the engine and away from you.

Suspension? Shocks? Body stiffening? Raising the ride height for dirt stages and lowering it for tarmac stages? Putting the car on a general all-around diet? There has to be more to it...

I've seen a thread where they were talking about specific rally prep done to their rally cars. Not so general as you are asking about but I'm sure you could search and find it and learn from their contributions and apply many of their suggestions to your prep work.

I am surprised noone mentioned a cage. I understand the sanctioning bodies get all whiny when you show up at tech without a cage...

What you need to do is find out is the rules for were your going to be racing. so you know what prep you can do. some classis you have to have some what stock car. has weight limits. find a class your think you can race in then start to set the car up around that class

Speaking of which trying to have my IX prepped for Rallycross but seems to be difficult to find a Beatrush under panel these days. Contacted multiple vendors and none seem to care to get back to me.

I've sent them a PM yesterday morning, still have yet to hear back on a EvoM price and confirmation on stock as well. Contacted another vendor yesterday too, who said they'd double check on stock and get back to me... haven't heard back from them since. =/
