catch can compressing?
Short story, I noticed I had "grease" or some gunk under my car as I was checking for boost leaks. Thought it was my axle, everything was sealed tight. Come to find out, my catch can bottom blew off. I re-tightened it and everything seamed fine. A few days later, I go to check and my catch can looked "compressed" at the rubber, almost like a crushed up can...but with rubber.
My catch can is the Perrin (rubber/sealed), connected from the pcv valve->one way check valve towards can->input port on can. Output port on can->one way check valve facing towards intake manifold->intake manifold. This is correct isn't it?
Should I just replace it with a small open filter metal catch can? My other is a JMFab large open filter connecting to valve cover and intake pipe with no issues. I'm just worried the bottom of the perrin will come loose again and pop off. Has anyone else had these issues before? 2.3L block, Thanks.

if you're pressurizing your catch can then your check valve is not working or not going into the right direction. the check valve should not allow any kind of pressure from the intake manifold to enter into the catch can.. if it does its not setup right, and you will pressurize the can under WOT.
